Gasthof Rauscher, Restoration of a heritage building

As a basis for the restoration of Gasthof Rauscher, which is a heritage building, an architectural survey was carried out; with this data, floor plans, sections and views were created.

Data capturing with phase scanner Data capturing with phase scanner The buildings were recorded with our 3D laser scanner, more precisely with a phase scanner which is capturing the surroundings with high-definition and with high precision in location and height. The result was a complete picture of the building in 3D as a point cloud. This point cloud was the basis for CAD reporting. A capturing in colour was not required, therefore the scan data is available in grey-scale value.
The surveying was carried out in a stress-free local horizontal and vertical local system. An interface to the Gauß-Krüger coordinate system and NN height system was done onsite. On basis of the fix points in the outside section topographic surveys were carried out.

Providing of the scan data with NetView The single scans were registered by the tachometric determined targets and transformed to the target coordinate system. The subsequent calculation of the point cloud database was done by LFM Server of AVEVA. The according scanner locations were imported and illustrated into the architecture footprint. The fix points were documented in an overview plan. The scans were prepared and provided with the program NetView. With NetView everybody who is involved in the project can view the scans at any time. Apart from that functionalities like measuring or labelling are available. The software is provided free of charge after registration.

Processing The CAD processing of the as-built-plans is done according to the valid DIN regulations. An important project feature was the strict as-built-documentation according to the preservation of monuments and historic buildings. The illustration was carried out corresponding to accuracy level II. The client defined the scale of drawing. The surveying is carried out with high precision in order that the graphical processing with respect to location and dimension of building elements corresponds to accuracy level III.
The main, constructive elements are displayed with accuracy level II. There was no documentation of structural damages.

For the ground, upper and attic floor dimensioned floor plans with a predefined scale where created. In the false floors (attic floor 2 and attic) no ground plans had to be created. The false floors were left out when creating the attic floor plans, that means the attic was treated and viewed as one unit. All views and in total five sections were created in a predefined scale.
